What to do in Braga Portugal

Braga is a Portuguese city located in the heart of the province of Minho. It is the capital of the district with the same name with almost one million inhabitants. It has already been awarded the European Capital of Youth as well as the European City of Sport.
Braga is also known by the City of Archbishops, being one of the religious capitals of Portugal.

Braga is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal.
The Historic Center, is (for me) an amazing place to walk, from the Sé area, to the campo da vinha, from the gardens of Santa Barbara to the Souto street, the Avenue, the Arcade...
Simply amazing!
Paula Nunes, Braga, Portugal
Braga Portugal, is surely a beautiful city.
For those who enjoy views, you can always take a hike up to the pico mountain, climb Bom Jesus do Monte by the funicular, or a walk to Sameiro!
Beatiful city...
Arlindo Correia, Braga, Portugal
I have lived in several cities in Portugal, but in my point of view Braga is one of the most beautiful... It has monuments, nightlife, streets, avenues and beautiful gardens.
Contrary to what is said, there are bars and nightclubs, and is close to everything. Close to Spain, close to Porto and close to the sea.
David Pinheiro, Guimarães, Portugal
Being a native of Braga, nothing makes me as happy as embracing this beautiful Portuguese city... Of course, Portugal has other fantastic cities, such as Porto, Guimarães, Aveiro, Coimbra, Lisbon, Funchal among others... But for me, none have the charm of my city of Archbishops!
Visit... it's worth it!
Paulo Miguel, Braga, Portugal
Despite being Lisboeta, I always found Braga a special charm. For me, it is the most pleasant city in Portugal to live in, because it has a bit of everything, but the main thing is that being a middle city, it does not have the traffic problems that have the bigger cities. Even at rush hour, Braga, it crosses in less than half an hour, and in normal hours, in ten minutes!
Victor Sampaio, Braga, Portugal
Braga Portugal, is a balanced city.
It has the benefits of big cities (movement, employment, leisure areas, shopping areas, environment, ...) without, however, having the traffic problems of big cities. It is a city that runs easily, and that arrives, without problems and, quickly from one point to another.
Antonio Ruas, Braga, Portugal
I am from Lisbon and I love Lisbon, but whenever I can, I visit the fantastic north of Portugal ... My favorite city to stay in is without doubt Braga ... It has everything a traveler can want, although there are other places very interesting in the region, such as Guimarães, Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima, Gerês, Esposende, etc.
Ana Paula Almeida, Lisboa, Portugal
Braga Portugal, is the capital of Minho for some reason.
Of course, Viana do Castelo, Guimarães, Ponte de Lima, Ponte da Barca, Arcos de Valdevez, Esposende, Póvoa de Varzim and many more are spectacular, but Braga is undoubtedly the city of Minho par excellence...
Ricardo Alves, Braga, Portugal
Although I live in Porto, for professional reasons, I love Braga, which for me is one of the most welcoming cities in Portugal in every way. This is not to say that there are no other welcoming cities, however Braga is the chosen city of Portugal from my heart, but I am suspected to speak because I was born in this beautiful city Minhota.
Rui Mendes Pereira, Porto, Portugal
I love Braga! It is a dynamic city, and being a young Brazilian student, I especially appreciate this city for quality higher education. Pala furthermore Braga is full of interesting culture and monuments. It also has a marked advantage, compared to other cities in Portugal: it is relatively cheap in terms of housing and quality of life.
Rita Guedes, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
